Hilgers Graben Announces “Hometown Program” – An Initiative To Bring Big Law Attorneys To Smaller Communities
Hilgers Graben is excited to announce the creation of a first-of-its-kind “Hometown Program” to help large law firm attorneys find ways to reclaim work-life balance by returning to their hometowns or working in smaller communities—while keeping higher salaries, working on nationwide cases, and with a talented team of former big law attorneys and judicial clerks.
Over the last 10 years, Hilgers Graben has been a pioneer in using geographic arbitrage to help clients and its teammates. Using its hub-and-spoke model, the firm leverages low-cost locations to handle nationwide litigation and discovery matters for companies around the country. With its primary location in Lincoln, Nebraska, its model allows the firm to drive down legal costs significantly while utilizing the same quality of lawyers found at large law firms in major cities. For attorneys, especially those who work in Lincoln, it allows for a greater lifestyle balance—losing the long commutes and challenges of large metro areas while enjoying top-of-market salaries.
Hilgers Graben PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of John Vivian to its litigation team as a senior associate. He will be the firm’s first litigation attorney based in the Maryland/Washington D.C.- area.
Prior to joining Hilgers Graben, John was an associate in the Washington D.C. office at Jones Day. He also clerked for the Honorable David B. Sentelle at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and the Honorable Roger W. Titus at the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. John brings top-level civil litigation experience to the firm, including traditional tort and contract disputes in state and federal court, as well as novel administrative challenges before federal agencies under the Administrative Procedure Act. He has advised clients on an expansive array of regulatory issues stemming from federal administrative rules, state and federal executive orders, and statutory directives, including the Defense Production Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Hilgers Graben PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of Alec Schultz and Carly Kligler to its litigation team. Both will be partners based in Southeast Florida and will spearhead the firm’s entry to the Florida marketplace. Schultz will be based in Miami and Kligler in West Palm Beach.
Formerly with the Leon Cosgrove firm, Schultz and Kligler also practiced at Boies, Schiller & Flexner among other stops prior to joining Hilgers Graben. Both are experienced trial lawyers, working on large complex commercial disputes, including contract disputes, class actions, business torts, fiduciary duty, fraud, and product liability matters here in the United States and internationally.
