About

Tim is an experienced patent attorney who uses his extensive IP and technical knowledge to assist clients through the various phases of pre-trial discovery.  His ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts allows him to protect his client’s interests across a variety of technical fields, such as quantum computing, telecommunications, medical devices, energy harvesting, and network architecture.  From startup innovators to the largest Fortune 500 companies, Tim’s dedicated service has protected his clients’ assets through the procurement, management, and development of patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

Valued for his meticulous work product and experience identifying and resolving complex problems, Tim advocates for clients by aligning legal strategies with business objectives.  He has counseled clients on offensive and defensive IP strategies, software licensing agreements, and patent invalidity.  Prior to representing clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Tim served as a legal extern in the Office of the Under Secretary at the USPTO, specifically reporting to the Honorable Janet Gongola.

Notably, Tim is an inventor on multiple domestic and international patents.  Before practicing law, Tim worked as an offshore engineer in the subsea energy industry.  He also has experience with the design and manufacturing of unmanned autonomous aerial vehicles for Northop Grumman.
