About
Peter focuses his practice on complex commercial, class action, and construction disputes. He has a broad background handling bet-the-company litigation in state and federal courts. He also has extensive experience representing clients in domestic and cross-border arbitration proceedings.
In his construction practice, Peter works on projects in the industrial manufacturing, higher education, infrastructure, conventional energy, and renewable energy sectors. He has handled disputes for some of the largest onshore wind farms, solar power plants, and electrical grid battery storage projects in the United States. Peter also has notable procurement experience, litigating bid challenges on behalf of unsuccessful bidders and public entities at the trial and appellate levels. In addition to his disputes practice, Peter drafts and negotiates construction agreements and provides project advisory services.
Peter also has substantial experience managing large-scale electronic discovery. From negotiation of ESI agreements through completion of document discovery and depositions, Peter works collaboratively with clients to develop creative and cost-effective solutions to the challenges of modern discovery.
Peter is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and currently serves as Chair-Elect of the Homer S. Brown Division. He teaches a class on construction contracting for the Riverside Center for Innovation’s BizFIT Plus Training Program, which supports the growth of Pittsburgh area construction businesses owned by minority and historically disadvantaged entrepreneurs.
Peter lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Sarah and their three young children. In his free time Peter enjoys playing platform tennis, watching baseball, and swimming.
