Heather helped found Hilgers Graben. She focuses primarily as the firm’s Recruiting Director and serves on the firm’s Board of Directors. Prior to the formation of Hilgers Graben she served as the Associate Director of Career Services for the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Prior to her work with law students and alumni, Heather was a litigator for several years. She started her career as a criminal prosecutor, and then moved into the private sector, specializing in commercial construction litigation.
She is currently involved as a room parent at North American Martyrs Catholic School’s PTO. She served on the Board of Directors for the Junior League of Lincoln for several years, and served as President from 2016-2017. She was a part of the Leadership Lincoln Fellows Class XXXI (2015-2016), and was President of Martyrs Moms at North American Martyrs Catholic Church during the same year. She also served on the Board of Directors for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and was on the Alumnae Advisory Council for Pi Beta Phi, the Nebraska Beta chapter, from 2010 until 2015.
She and her husband, Mike, have four children, Alice, Elsie, Clara Jane and Michael.
