Hilgers Graben PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of Katherine Hartmann Miller to its litigation team as Litigation and e-Discovery Counsel. She is based in the firm’s Omaha office.
Prior to joining Hilgers Graben, Katherine was Assistant General Counsel at Northwestern Mutual where she advised the company on a wide variety of legal and regulatory issues related to financial products and services. Before going in-house, Katherine clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, worked as an associate in the Chicago office of Schiff Hardin LLP and was a name partner at the boutique litigation firm, Carey & Hartmann. Her private practice experience encompasses all aspects of civil litigation and dispute resolution, including the successful mediation, arbitration and litigation of complex commercial matters, securities and commodities fraud claims, business disputes and professional liability claims.
Katherine graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was Managing Editor of the Minnesota Law Review and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. “I am very pleased to be joining such an innovative and high-growth law firm like Hilgers Graben,” said Miller. “The culture, work-life flexibility, and access to high quality legal work is exactly what I was looking for when taking the next step in my career.”
According to firm founder, Mike Hilgers, “Our ability to continue to attract and hire candidates of Katherine’s caliber is further proof of the value generated through our unique model of leveraging a “no jerks” culture with a geographic arbitrage infrastructure to hire the best-of-the-best and make these high credentialed lawyers available to our clients at 40% of the cost of Big Law.”
