    Hilgers Graben Announces Addition of Attorney John Vivian

    Hilgers Graben PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of John Vivian to its litigation team as a senior associate. He will be the firm’s first litigation attorney based in the Maryland/Washington D.C.- area.

    Prior to joining Hilgers Graben, John was an associate in the Washington D.C. office at Jones Day. He also clerked for the Honorable David B. Sentelle at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and the Honorable Roger W. Titus at the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. John brings top-level civil litigation experience to the firm, including traditional tort and contract disputes in state and federal court, as well as novel administrative challenges before federal agencies under the Administrative Procedure Act. He has advised clients on an expansive array of regulatory issues stemming from federal administrative rules, state and federal executive orders, and statutory directives, including the Defense Production Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

    John graduated first in his class from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where he served as the Lead Articles Editor of the Catholic University Law Review. John also possesses a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in engineering management from George Washington University. “I am thrilled to join the fast-growing innovative firm that Mike Hilgers and the Hilgers Graben team have put together,” said Vivian. “Being able to work with first-class litigators for sophisticated clients and in a team-focused culture strongly appealed to me.
