About

Brad is a trial lawyer who brings a confident and steady demeanor to every case.  His clients range from individuals to investors to businesses, including companies at the top of Forbes’ Fortune 500 list. Brad has succeeded in all phases of litigation in state and federal courts and he regularly advises clients before litigation ensues.  Clients entrust him to tell their stories in a variety of settings, from arbitration to bench trials to high-profile, multi-week jury trials.  Brad’s experience spans multiple industries, including real estate, oil and gas, banking and financial services, construction, and healthcare.  He also has extensive experience in representing majority owners and minority investors in “business divorce” disputes.

Brad’s ability to quickly absorb the essential components of a case enables him to condense complex matters into the bite-size pieces necessary to resolve disputes prior to filing suit or through fact-intensive jury trials and on appeal.  Examples of his successes are listed below.

Brad’s practice is based in Northwest Arkansas and Dallas, Texas.  Outside of work, Brad is an avid follower of the Arkansas Razorbacks who enjoys playing golf and spending time in the great outdoors with his growing family.

Related Matters

  • First-chaired a high-profile trial on behalf of an oil-and-gas exploration company, where he delivered the opening statement and closing arguments, examined fact and expert witnesses, and was involved in all aspects of trial strategy and post-trial and appellate briefing. After a nearly two-week jury trial in January 2020, the court entered a $45 million judgment in favor of the client.  This judgment was one of the largest in the State of Texas in 2020 and has been affirmed on appeal. See City of Dallas v. Trinity East Energy, LLC, No.05-20-00550-CV, 2022 Tex. App. LEXIS 5392 (Tex. App.—Dallas August 1, 2022, pet. denied).

  • First-chaired one of Texas’s first Zoom trials in March 2020, where he obtained a favorable judgment on behalf of a large financial institution.

  • Second-chaired a personal injury trial on behalf of the owner and manager of an apartment complex. Brad and his trial partner obtained a complete defense verdict for their client.

  • Served as the lead attorney on a variety of cases ranging from breach of contract disputes to product liability, professional liability, and “business divorce” disputes.

  • Handled a variety of real-estate litigation and pre-litigation matters involving land-use and zoning issues, commercial lease disputes, and injunctive relief arising in the context of purchase and sale agreements.

  • Handled complex e-discovery collection, review, and document production from start to finish on large, complex cases involving state and federal court MDLs.
