Heather Hilgers joined Hilgers Graben as the Recruiting and Business Development Coordinator in the spring of 2015. She joined the firm after working as the Associate Director of Career Services for the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Prior to her work with law students and alumni, Heather was a litigator for several years. She started her career as a criminal prosecutor, and then moved into the private sector, specializing in commercial construction litigation.
She received her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and her bachelor’s degree in marketing and public relations from Baylor University.
She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Junior League of Lincoln, and is serving as President from 2016-2017. She served on the Board of Directors for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and was on the Alumnae Advisory Council for Pi Beta Phi, the Nebraska Beta chapter, from 2010 until 2015. She was a part of the Leadership Lincoln Fellows Class XXXI (2015-2016), and was President of Martyrs Moms at North American Martyrs Catholic Church during the same year. She continues to serve on the Martyrs Moms board in the Past President role.
She and her husband, Mike, have three daughters, Alice, Elsie, and Clara Jane.
