Heather Hilgers

Heather Hilgers joined Hilgers Graben as the Recruiting and Business Development Coordinator in the spring of 2015.  She joined the firm after working as the Associate Director of Career Services for the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Prior to her work with law students and alumni, Heather was a litigator for several years. She started her career as a criminal prosecutor, and then moved into the private sector, specializing in commercial construction litigation.

She received her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and her bachelor’s degree in marketing and public relations from Baylor University.

She was President of Martyrs Moms at North American Martyrs Catholic Church from 2015-2016. She will serve again on the Martyrs Moms board as the Playgroup Coordinator and will also serve her first term on the Board of Directors for Mourning Hope from 2017-2018. She is on the Board of Directors for the Junior League of Lincoln, serving as President from 2016-2017 and Past President from 2017-2018.

She served on the Board of Directors for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and was on the Alumnae Advisory Council for Pi Beta Phi, the Nebraska Beta chapter, from 2010 until 2015. She was also part of the Leadership Lincoln Fellows Class XXXI from 2015-2016.

She and her husband, Mike, have three daughters, Alice, Elsie, and Clara Jane.
